Biography
Dr Fabiana Aellos studied dentistry at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana - School of Dentistry and completed her DDS degree in 2016. Fabiana is a young periodontist, clinician, and researcher, who navigated a compelling dentistry journey marked by a solid commitment to innovation and lasting impact. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University. Her educational journey includes extensive training in dentistry, with a specialized focus on periodontology.
Specifically, her research focuses on bone-anchored percutaneous implants, addressing implant failure due to infections at the soft tissue-implant interface—a persistent concern in dental implants. As a key member of Helms’s Laboratory, Fabiana is dedicated to unraveling interface intricacies, aiming to fortify barriers through innovative strategies for enhanced patient outcomes.
She is passionate about refining surgical techniques and introducing groundbreaking treatments, Fabiana envisions propelling the field into unexplored territories while inspiring future dental professionals.
