Tommaso Cantoni, Giovanni Polizzi: Guided surgery in soft bone situations and extraction sites, for optimal functional and esthetic results
Video highlights
- Diagnostics & treatment planning
- Soft tissue management
- Graftless solutions
- Minimally invasive surgery
- Immediate implant placement
The lecture explains the workflow of implant surgery with digital treatment planning and guided surgery, with the example of a clinical treatment case in the maxilla with multiple missing teeth. Dr Cantoni and Dr Polizzi explain the possibilities of interdisciplinary digital treatment planning and an innovative alternative way to design a diagnostic template in an immediate implant after extraction protocol, show the clinical procedure of implant placement with a guided surgery template in a flap protocol and discuss the minimal invasive character of the guided surgery approach and the option to avoid grafting. The lecture gives insight on how to prepare and design a screw-retained provisional bridge for immediate provisionalization after implant surgery.
